Jacketed Reactor
The typical main reaction vessel in chemical production. Mixing, heating and cooling disperse and mix materials for reaction and polymerization. The jacket circulates thermal oil/steam for heating or cooling water for temperature control.
Working Principle
Thermal oil, steam or cooling water circulates in the jacket to control batch temperature; agitators (paddle/anchor/frame optional) ensure even heating and thorough mixing for polymerization, condensation and esterification. Condensation reflux, dosing and vacuum ports available.
